'wave ripple' – a ceramic tableware collection inspired by the timeless dance between sand and sea.

This collection reflects my deep admiration for the magical beauty of sand and its natural formations. Inspired by the diverse types and colors of sand from around the world, as well as the captivating interplay between sand and water along the coastline, each piece reflects the beauty I find in these natural elements.

Crafted from various types of stoneware, each cup reflects the unique colors of sand from beaches around the world or captures a special moment of life by the seashore – from the golden sands of Spain to the white shores of tropical beaches and the black sands of volcanic regions.

I started with three foundational designs, inspired by black, white, and golden sand. Over time, as I continued to work on this collection, new ideas emerged from my experiences and memories. Since then, I have created several more 'wave ripple' designs, each reflecting different states of interaction between sand, water, and their natural surroundings that I have observed.

The cups in 'wave ripple' collection present a mix of glossy and satin surfaces, depending on the design. You can explore the details of each piece in my online ceramic store. Due to various conditions, the same design can yield a wide array of surface details, making each cup as unique as the patterns formed on sand by incoming waves. Each ceramic piece captures a special moment of beach life.

The 'wave ripple' ceramics come in three sizes: S (ca. 120ml), M (ca. 180ml), L (ca. 280ml), and XL (mug ca. 330ml). All pieces in this collection can be combined to form a beautiful set of handmade cups, whether you choose cups of the same design or mix different 'wave Ripple' designs. The cups share the same shape and volume as those in my 'sepia' ceramic collection, allowing you to seamlessly group them into your unique set.

All the pieces in my ceramic art collection, 'wave ripple' are handcrafted in my pottery studio in Malaga. Each item is wheel-thrown and fired at 1250ºC.

The ceramic pieces in this collection share the same forms and size variations as the cups and plates from my handmade pottery collection 'sepia'.
